Buying and Installing Lists

I have a new iPhone, iPod, or iPad. Do I need to repurchase Zenbe Lists?

No. The first time you sync your new device with your computer, Lists should automatically be installed.

If it isn't, you can install Zenbe Lists on your new device from the App Store. Even if the button says "purchase", as long as you're using the iTunes account you originally used to purchase Lists, you will not be charged a second time.

Are the iPhone and iPad versions sold separately?

No, Zenbe Lists is available as a universal app for the iPhone + iPad from the iTunes Store. When you purchase it from one device, you will be able to download it from another device for free with the same iTunes account.

What is your refund policy?

Per Apple, all sales from the iTunes store are final. We are not authorized to issue refunds. You must contact iTunes Support for any issues with purchases or downloads from iTunes.

Using Lists

How do I sync my lists to the web app?

Launch Zenbe Lists on your iPhone, and simply lick the 'sync' button at the bottom of the screen. All of your lists will be synced, as long as you have a network or wi-fi connection.

If you have not already set up a free Zenbe Lists account, Lists will open up the Safari mobile browser on your iPhone so you can create an account.

Once you've synced the lists on your iPhone, login at lists.zenbe.com to view them on the web.

I'm having trouble syncing my iPhone/iPad to the web. What can I do?

Please take the following steps to makes sure you can sync:

  1. Login to your account on the web to ensure your login is working properly. If you've forgotten your login information, visit thelogin help page.
  2. Once you're able to log into the website, check to make sure you've got the right username and password entered on your device.
    • Open your device's Settings app, scroll down to Zenbe Lists, and tap it.
    • Inside Zenbe Lists settings, tap "Zenbe Login", and verify that you've got the correct Username and Password entered.
    • Now turn on the "Reset Session" switch. This forces Zenbe Lists to re-login the next time you open it, and may help.
    • Relaunch Zenbe Lists. Hopefully that will sort things out.
  3. If you're still unable to Sync, delete the Zenbe Lists app from your device. To delete the app, press down on the icon until all the app icons begin to wiggle. Tap the (x) icon on Zenbe Lists, and confirm that you want to delete the app and all of its data. Then reinstall the app from the App Store. You won't be charged as long as you use the same iTunes account you originally purchased with.
  4. If you've tried all of those steps and are still having trouble, please contact us.

How do I transfer Zenbe Lists to a new iPhone or iPad?

Plug your new device into your computer and sync with iTunes. Zenbe Lists should be installed on your new device. Then simply launch the app and enter your Zenbe Lists credentials. The app will download your Lists from the Zenbe server.

Sharing Lists with Others

How do I share my lists with other people?

From the iPhone App:

  1. Click on the list you want to share.
  2. Click the share button in the lower right corner of the screen.
  3. The Mail app will open. Enter the email address of the person you want to share with. Note you must have an email account setup on your iPhone to use this feature.

From the web:

  1. Click the "share..." button in the bottom-right corner of the list.
  2. Click "email the link now" to open your email program so you can send the link. Alternately, copy the link and send it to the person with whom you want to share.

Can I share with people who don't have an iPhone or iPad?

Yes, they will be able to use your list from the website. They won't even need to sign up for an account to use your list, though an account is required to create lists.

How can I embed a list in my web page or iGoogle home page?

  1. Login to Zenbe Lists.
  2. Click the "share" button in the lower-right corner of a list.
  3. Click the "create embeddable list" button. Alternately, if you have an iGoogle page, you can select "create iGoogle widget".
  4. Choose a skin and click the "get embed code" button.
  5. Copy the Javascript snippet and paste it in the <body> tag of a web page.

I forgot my password. How do I reset it?

Visit the reset password page to request a password reset.

I need to update or change the email address associated with my Zenbe Lists account.

Just let us know what your new email address is and we'll change it for you. Please include your Zenbe Lists username or the email address you used to register your account, as well as your new email address.

Do you have plans to release Lists for other platforms?
(e.g. Android, Blackberry, Windows Phone, Palm)

We'd love to bring Lists to other mobile platforms, but we're a small team focused on iOS. If you're an experienced developer who would like to help bring Lists to a new platform, feel free to get in touch.
